Real Madrid crowned the Champions League title after winning 1-0 against Liverpool, despite the latter's dominance in the match at Stade de France in the French capital, Paris.
The winning goal for the royal club was scored by Vinicius Junior in the 59th minute.
Liverpool dominated the match, but Real Madrid's defense stood as a wall against the Reds' attempts.
Things were not pretty for most of the match. It seemed that the white-shirted players were constantly spread across the penalty area as they desperately tried to repel wave after wave of Liverpool attacks.
Chances were few and far between for the coach Carlo Ancelotti's team, but they only needed one ball. Vinicius Junior appeared completely unmarked at the far corner after an hour to recycle Federico Valverde's low cross and secure Real Madrid's 1-0 victory and 14th European crown.
