Reports have revealed that Spanish club Real Madrid has stipulated the need to fulfill the request of French winger Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain in order to move to sign him during the current summer transfer window.
Mbappé rejected the idea of extending his contract with the French club and was excluded from the trip to Japan to prepare for the 2023/2024 season by coach Luis Enrique, in agreement with the management.
The French newspaper "L'Équipe" confirmed that Real Madrid, led by Florentino Pérez, made its first request to Frenchman Kylian Mbappé after he was linked with the possibility of leaving Paris and moving to Real Madrid, with the French team keen to offload the player this summer.
The newspaper added that Pérez wants Mbappé to come out and announce through the media his desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain before any official move.
The newspaper continued that this is Real Madrid's policy, which always wants to act only with an official offer if there is an announcement from the player himself regarding leaving his club, with which he is under a valid contract like Mbappé's case.
The newspaper clarified that this was expected because Real Madrid fears Mbappé's maneuvers, as happened a year ago, when he agreed with the player on everything, and in the end, he renewed his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappé is training with those excluded from the first team today, Monday, before facing Lorient in the opening of their journey in Ligue 1 this coming Saturday.
Luis Campos, the sports director of Paris Saint-Germain, is trying to resolve the issue with all parties to impose a state of technical stability before the start of the season.
