The 75th Emmy Awards is the latest production to be temporarily halted due to Hollywood strikes and will not be broadcast as planned in September.

A person familiar with the postponement plans, but not authorized to speak publicly, confirmed this while awaiting an official announcement regarding the delay. No immediate information was available about a new date.

The Emmy Awards were scheduled to air on Fox on September 18. The rules set by the actors' guild, the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, state that stars cannot campaign for Emmy Awards or attend awards shows during the strike.

Writers are also not allowed to work on awards shows until the strike is over.

When the next Emmy Awards take place, HBO will enter as a major competitor. The network has won 74 awards for three of its top shows: "Succession," "The White Lotus," and "The Last of Us."

"Ted Lasso" received the most nominations in the comedy category with 21, including Best Comedy Series and Best Actor for Jason Sudeikis.

Nearly 65,000 actors and 11,500 screenwriters from the Writers Guild of America are on strike, demanding better pay, a structure with residual payments, and protection against the use of artificial intelligence.
