In a tweet on Twitter this Thursday morning, the Ottawa Police announced the death of the second police officer who was shot along with his colleague two days ago, saying, "We are saddened to learn of the death of the second officer."
Adding, "Police officers send their deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community of the deceased and wish everyone safety and strength."
Meanwhile, the South Simcoe Police stated in another tweet that with great sadness, they inform the public that the second officer who was shot while performing his duty has died from his injuries.
