An investigation is underway into confirmed and suspected monkeypox cases in the United States, Canada, Spain, Portugal, and Britain, according to health authorities and local media reports.
Recently, a case was confirmed in the United States, and an investigation is ongoing into 13 suspected cases in Canada.
Five infections have also been confirmed in Portugal, as well as seven cases in Spain, according to health authorities.
Monkeypox is a common disease in remote areas of Central and West Africa.
