The Gaza Strip has entered a dark tunnel after electricity was cut off from the Indonesian hospital in the Beit Lahiya area, due to the depletion of necessary fuel as a result of the Israeli blockade on the region, which means risking the lives of thousands of injured and patients inside the hospital in the coming hours.

The Hamas movement had called on Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the United Nations, to urgently address the electricity cut at the hospital and provide fuel supplies to operate the generators.

The movement also warned against the consequences of negligence in this matter, which would mean a death sentence for all patients and injured individuals in hospitals.

Palestinian factions stated that the power outage at the Indonesian hospital, north of the Gaza Strip, due to the fuel depletion is a "crime against humanity," calling on Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the United Nations, to urgently address this issue.

Mark Regev, a senior advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister, told American media that Israel will not allow fuel to be delivered to the Gaza Strip at all, even if Hamas releases its hostages.

Regev justified the decision by claiming that Hamas uses fuel to operate and launch rockets at Israeli towns.

Israel has not allowed fuel to enter Gaza since it ordered a "complete siege" on the region on October 9, following the attacks launched by Hamas against Israeli civilians.

Relief agencies have repeatedly warned that there is an urgent need for fuel supplies in Gaza to operate water desalination for clean drinking water and to run life-saving devices in hospitals.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health warned yesterday, Monday, that hospitals in the region are on the brink of collapse, operating at over 150% of their capacity.

The ministry added that ten out of 35 hospitals in Gaza have become out of service.
