The Jordanian Civil Defense was able, early Tuesday morning, to extinguish a massive fire that broke out in a factory for oils and petroleum materials in the northeastern part of the country, saving nearby factories and warehouses from the flames. Authorities confirmed that no injuries occurred in the fire.

The media spokesperson for the Jordanian Public Security Directorate stated that specialized teams from the Civil Defense continued working day and night until they were able early today to extinguish the fire that broke out in a factory for oils and petroleum materials in the Sahl Al-Dabba area in Mafraq Governorate in northeast Jordan.

He also added that great efforts were exerted by the participating teams due to the nature of the burning material, which required a lot of time and effort to complete extinguishing it.

He pointed out that the intensive and continuous efforts led to controlling the fire in a timely manner and preventing its spread to other places, factories, and nearby warehouses, and the fire did not result in any loss of life.

Dozens of specialized Civil Defense vehicles and a large number of human cadres from the Mafraq Civil Defense Directorate participated in firefighting operations.

They received support from the Zarqa and East Irbid Civil Defense Directorates, the police, and the Gendarmerie forces, which worked with high coordination, contributing to efficiently dealing with the incident and enabling control over it in record time.
