A family from Quebec was forced to stop on the roadside when their child decided it was time to make their first appearance.
On May 6 at 5:50 pm, Brigitte Berault and Nicolas Thiberg were on their way to the hospital, ready to welcome their third child but the birth suddenly caught them off guard.
Her husband called 911 in the Mirabel area when he noticed that he and his wife would not have time to reach the hospital. His wife was experiencing strong contractions and felt the need to push.
While waiting for the ambulance, the couple managed to stop on Verdier Street, near exit 31 on Highway 15.
As soon as emergency services arrived, Berault was assisted into the ambulance and little Laurie Thiberg was born at 6:15 pm.
The family was then transferred to Saint Jerome Hospital, where the mother and child were in good health.
