To restore the health and vitality of your hair strands during and after summer, here are some tips you can follow to protect and care for your hair in the summer,
Moisturize your hair
Make sure to keep your hair continuously moisturized during the summer; because the sun, saltwater, and chlorine in seawater and swimming pools strip moisture from the hair, leaving it very dry.
Heat hair styling devices
Avoid exposing your hair to the hot air of heat styling devices, which are a direct source of heat that weakens protein bonds and negatively affects the overall health of the hair.
Use hot air styling tools with products that prevent the loss of hair proteins. You can also use a heat protection spray to limit the damage caused by heat from styling tools.
Excessive hair washing
Excessive hair washing can cause damage, especially to colored and chemically treated hair, or hair that is extremely dry or naturally porous. Washing hair daily removes the natural oils and proteins from the hair, which are essential to maintain the health of the hair and scalp. Although we tend to bathe and use shampoo more frequently in summer, it is recommended not to wash hair more than three times a week.
To overcome the problem of thin hair between washes, caused by natural hair oils, you can use a natural dry shampoo containing an oil that the hair can absorb and benefit from for a long time.
Hair moisturizing starts from within
It is essential to drink large amounts of water in the summer. Healthy hair hydration starts from within; therefore, sufficient water hydrates hair cells. To achieve healthy hydration, use aloe water shampoo and conditioner for deep hydration, which helps restore hair vitality and effectively moisturizes and adds flexibility to dry strands.
