Toronto residents may want to fill their tanks before gas prices rise. According to Dan Mactig, prices at the pumps are expected to increase by four cents on Thursday, reaching about $1.83 per liter.
Prices are expected to rise again the next day to about $1.87 per liter on Friday.
He said that in total, drivers will see an eight-cent increase over the next 36 hours while gas prices in Ontario have been volatile in recent weeks after a record rise in March when prices went above $1.90 per liter.
Earlier this month, Mactig said some Ontario residents might have to pay around $2 per liter in the summer.
