The Ontario Provincial Police in Canada announced in a statement today, Tuesday, that five people were killed in a shooting in the area.
The statement read: “Investigators and security agencies continue to investigate the incident.”
The police noted that among the victims were three children aged 6, 7, and 12 years, and a 41-year-old individual, as well as the shooter himself.
An adult with a gunshot wound in another incident was taken to the hospital, according to the police; both incidents are connected and occurred “as a result of violence.”
