The Ontario Provincial Police said a police aviation helicopter and a civilian helicopter discovered a missing plane on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Lake Superior Provincial Park, about two kilometers east of Old Woman Road.
The plane was first reported missing on April 14 and the police say it is the same area where teams spent ten days in April searching for a plane that departed from a southwestern Ontario airport.
The plane was scheduled to land in Marathon, but never arrived. The plane's radar and flight tracking equipment were last detected about sixty kilometers north of "Sault Ste." The police have not released any information about the plane's passengers.
The investigation into the incident is now being conducted by the Safety Board.
