Unifor just announced that it is donating $100,000 to help CUPE education workers on strike who were affected by government fines.
The union said in a press release: "Both the National Union and ORC will each donate $50,000, totaling $100,000 to support the CUPE strike to pay fines imposed due to the activation of Strike Clause 28 on November 3, 2022, which strips education workers of their guaranteed right to strike, under the undemocratic clause."
