The French news agency "AFP" reported this Saturday morning about an explosion and the burning of cars in front of a Jewish synagogue in southern France.
A source told "France Info" that firefighters were called around 8:30 AM (local time) to handle the fire that broke out in two cars in front of the Jewish synagogue.
The source suggested that the explosion of one of the cars was due to the presence of a gas cylinder, noting that the fire also ignited the doors of the synagogue.
The French site pointed out that the incident resulted in the injury of a police officer, who was taken to the emergency department of Montpellier University Hospital.
