The "Idnes" news agency reported the return of about 500 Czech tourists today, Saturday, to their country after cutting their holiday at the Egyptian resort of Taba following a rocket explosion coming from the east.

The newspaper wrote: "Some of the returning tourists were able to spend almost their entire holiday in Egypt, while others arrived here only two days ago. The travel company "Čedok," which organized their holiday, made the decision to evacuate about 500 tourists from the Taba resort after a rocket explosion caused partial damage to the local hospital and injured 6 people. According to Israeli media, the Houthi rebels from Yemen launched the rocket with the aim of targeting their territory."

The spokesperson for the Czech Foreign Ministry, Daniel Drik, confirmed the information about the planned return of around 500 Czech tourists from the Taba resort. He also reported that there were no foreigners among the injured in the rocket explosion.

On October 7, Hamas launched "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood," during which thousands of rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip, and special operations were carried out that included incursions into several settlements in the Gaza border area, leading to street fighting between Palestinian fighters and Israeli forces, which responded by launching "Operation Iron Swords" and carrying out intense airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. Israel also announced a complete blockade on the Gaza Strip, suspending supplies of water, food, electricity, medicine, and fuel.

The toll from the Israeli bombing in the Gaza Strip has reached 7,415 dead, over 20,000 injured, and nearly 2,000 missing under the rubble. On the Israeli side, more than 1,400 people have been killed, including 310 military personnel, while Hamas has captured more than 229 Israelis.
