The search continues for Frank Young, the boy who has been missing for nearly a week on Red Earth Cree Nation.

In an update sent to the media Monday afternoon, Carrot River RCMP said the search is ongoing and they continue to urge the public to report any information about the boy's whereabouts.

Young, 5 years old, disappeared on April 19 around 12:30 p.m., wearing dinosaur pajamas, a dark blue protective jacket, and Paw Patrol shoes.

Over the weekend, in a post on the local government’s Facebook page, the community called on volunteers to join the search for the boy. Red Earth also provided an option for those wishing to donate money to support the search.

He was playing in the front yard of a house but then disappeared.

The police do not suspect an abduction as stated. Searches were also conducted by air and boats, and the RCMP dive team helped search for the boy last week.

Residents are expected to provide a detailed update on the search for Young Tuesday morning.
