Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly announced the return of Canada's ambassador to Ukraine to the capital Kyiv to resume his diplomatic work again.
The Foreign Minister announced this through a tweet on Twitter where she said, "Our ambassador LGaladza has returned to Kyiv and our flag is flying again over the embassy."
She explained, "This is a first and important step to show our belief in Ukraine."
She added, "Over time and as the security situation evolves, we have every intention to send more diplomats and more resources."

It is worth mentioning that Canada had closed its embassy in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and withdrew its diplomats from there at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
