U.S. President Joe Biden (80 years old), who is seeking a second term in 2024, said in an interview broadcast on Friday that his advance in age has brought him abundant wisdom.

Biden stated in his first interview since officially launching his campaign last week to a journalist on the "MSNBC" television channel: "I have gained a great deal of wisdom and I know more than the vast majority of people."

Biden added, a Democrat who will turn 86 at the end of a second term: "I am more experienced than anyone who has ever run for the office (presidency). And I believe I have proven that I have been honorable and competent as well."

Joe Biden rarely touches upon the issue of his age, which is considered his main obstacle among voters.

In 2024, he may face Republican Donald Trump again, who is now 76 years old, in the race for the White House.

A new slip of the tongue he immediately corrected

During the interview, Biden urged preventing former President Barack Obama from winning the next presidential elections in the country.

Biden said during the interview: "We cannot let Obama.. we cannot let the man who was president four years ago, win this election and become president again," referring to his predecessor Donald Trump.

When asked about the aspects in which he differs from Trump, Biden replied that he differs from him "in everything."

Obama served as President of the United States from 2009 to 2017, for two consecutive terms, and could not run for a new term. Biden was serving as Vice President in the Obama administration.
