The Montreal Police executed a cross-border arrest on 48-year-old Parthasarathy Kapoor, with an international warrant accusing him of sexually assaulting four boys.

It is alleged that Kapoor assaulted the boys in his home in Cote-des-Neiges between 1998 and 2003, when they were between the ages of seven and fourteen.

He was arrested on Friday in the United States with the help of American police and Canadian border agencies.

A statement from the Montreal Police noted: "An agreement with U.S. authorities allowed the SPVM to arrest the accused on August 4, 2023, near the Canada-U.S. border. He faces several charges related to sexual acts committed against children and the production of child pornography, which have not yet been proven in court."

The police stated that he will remain in custody pending trial.

Authorities had been searching for Kapoor for several years; in January 2020, American police arrested him using a false identity at an airport in New Jersey. He was later jailed for committing sexual offenses in that country.
