The U.S. Senate on Wednesday rejected passing the bill related to allocating billions of dollars in aid, including to Kyiv and Israel, and refused to consider the bill.

Earlier, the Democrats submitted a petition to end the disputes and pass the bill for a vote in the Senate.

To complete the procedure, it was necessary to obtain preliminary approval of the relevant resolution by 60 senators, but the petition did not receive the necessary support; therefore, the Senate in Congress will not be able to consider the request on its merits, let alone approve it.

Biden had previously requested $106 billion to help Israel and Ukraine, but he did not receive the required support in Congress, and the issue of border security was an obstacle for him.

Republicans in Congress said they would not support funding for Ukraine until the administration changes its approach to protecting the U.S. borders.

The House of Representatives, controlled by the Republican majority, voted to allocate aid to Israel only, but the Senate, controlled by the Democrats, blocked this initiative.

To pass the request, approval of both chambers of Congress and the president's signature are required later.

At the same time, the U.S. administration acknowledged that funds previously allocated to help Kyiv are running out, which is why arms aid sent to Ukraine has decreased.
