The Toronto Stock Exchange halted trading shortly after the opening bell on Tuesday due to a technical issue. The TMX Group, which operates the exchange, also says that trading has stopped for the TSX, TSXV, and Alpha markets.

Additionally, TMX added that it is facing a connection issue with the TSX order entry symbol range from M to S. It also says that it is investigating the problem and will provide updates shortly.

When calling the number listed on the TMX Group website, a message states that the market is in a pre-opening state. Trading will remain halted until further notice according to the latest statements.

As for the Toronto Stock Exchange, it is considered the largest stock exchange in Canada and the third largest in North America. It is owned by the TMX Group for major stock trading along with a large group of companies from Canada, Europe, and America. In addition to traditional securities, this exchange conducts many exchanges such as mutual fund programs, exchange-traded funds, and others. This exchange is a leader in the field of oil and gas exploration.
