Toronto residents may experience heavy rainfall this evening, according to Environment Canada, which issued a special weather statement for the area on Tuesday.
According to the agency, Toronto may receive up to 30 mm of rain by Wednesday morning, with the risk of thunderstorms on Tuesday evening.
The area may also see some winds coming from the north, says Environment Canada, with gusts reaching up to 40 km/h.
The agency says heavy rain can cause traffic paralysis, and advises drivers to be cautious on the road, watch out for slips, and reduce speed.
