A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck areas in northern Italy today, Monday, at 03:10 AM.
The earthquake's epicenter was located 5.9 kilometers from the town of Ferrara, which is in the Tuscany region, and it was felt by residents of several other Italian cities, including Bologna and Florence.
No reports of injuries or major damage have been received so far.
In related news, thousands of protesters took to the streets in several European cities today, Monday, to protest climate change and government support for fossil fuels.
In Vienna, protesters from the "Fridays for Future" movement called for more taxes on carbon emissions and a reduction in meat consumption.
In Rome, the Green Renaissance group protested against government support for fossil fuels, which reached a record 7 billion euros in subsidies last year.
The protesters asserted that climate change is causing significant economic and social losses in Europe.
