Ottawa police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Lowertown on Monday, which led to one person being taken to the hospital
Regarding this, the police stated on Twitter at 3:16 PM that several officers were responding to Nelson and Murray streets, where one person was shot
The police also added that active road closures were in place in the area
Paramedics in Ottawa reported that a man in his twenties approached paramedics who were in the area of King Edward Street and Murray Street, injured by a gunshot at around 3 PM.
The police announced that they do not believe there is a threat to public safety
