Sevilla FC announced this evening, Monday, the return of veteran Spanish defender Sergio Ramos to the Andalusian team in a free transfer during the current summer transfer window.
 
Sevilla FC stated in its official statement, "Sevilla FC and Sergio Ramos have reached an agreement for his joining the team."
 
It added, "The defender returns to his team after almost two decades since he left, at just 19 years old, to Real Madrid."
 
Ramos, who became a free agent on June 30 after his time at Paris Saint-Germain, arrived in Sevilla this morning, Monday, for a medical examination and to sign his contract that links him to the club for one season.
The Spanish international Sergio Ramos left Paris Saint-Germain after spending two seasons at the Parc des Princes, the home of the French capital club, after joining on a free transfer from Real Madrid when his contract ended in the summer of 2021.

Sergio Ramos had a distinguished career with Paris Saint-Germain since arriving at the "Parc des Princes" in the summer of 2021 from Real Madrid, where he played 58 matches, scored 6 goals, provided an assist, won two French league titles, and received the French Super Cup.
