Please be respectful to one another and be aware of vulnerable road users like cyclists and pedestrians.
Also earlier, Canadian authorities said that the police in the capital Ottawa arrested several people on Friday evening from a protest march involving hundreds of motorcycle riders, pedestrians, and cars, waving Canadian flags, after it turned into rioting.
The march was organized as a protest against “government abuses” in general, less than 3 months after the police arrested dozens of protesters who blocked the downtown area near the parliament for several weeks.

The caravan organizers say it is in support of "freedom" and veterans, but local media say that a number of participants in the protest were in Ottawa during the previous protest which was against the vaccine mandates for truck drivers operating across the border.

It is worth mentioning that in last February, the government of Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had to activate rarely used emergency powers to clear Ottawa of protesters. At that time, protesters closed a major border crossing with the United States.
The previous protest, which lasted for 3 weeks early this year, caused losses amounting to tens of millions of dollars for businesses, in the form of sales not made.
