Remembrance Day in Ontario: Ford leads the primary ceremony in the legislature

Ontario residents will have the opportunity to pay respect to the soldiers who fought and died for Canada through Remembrance Day ceremonies held across the province today.

The main tribute is scheduled to take place at the provincial legislature and will be chaired by Premier Doug Ford starting at 10:45 AM.

The Canadian Armed Forces also stated that a 21-gun salute and flypast are planned in Queen's Park, with the salute on the north side at 11 AM.

Additionally, the city of Toronto will observe Remembrance Day with a public ceremony beginning at 10:45 AM at Old City Hall, which will include from the Ontario government: Elizabeth Dowdeswell and Mayor John Tory.

Also, a ceremony is scheduled to be held at the National War Memorial in Ottawa starting at 11 AM, featuring remarks by Governor General Mary Simon and Veterans Affairs Minister Lawrence MacAulay.
