The International Organization for the Protection of Mediterranean Children has decided to file criminal charges for intentional murder and displacement of children in Gaza against the occupying authority (the Zionist entity) at international courts, which has caused the death of 1,903 children since the outbreak of the war between the Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip and the occupation since October 7, until yesterday, with an average of 120 children killed daily.
In a statement today, Monday, it indicated that cooperating lawyers with the organization in Europe will file these cases, calling on global judicial authorities to deal with these cases in the serious manner required and to consider them as urgent matters that cannot wait.
It also emphasized the necessity of holding the Zionist entity accountable for committing the largest historical massacres against children in the Gaza Strip and in the neighboring occupied territories, exposing them to killing and displacement in front of the world's terrifying silence since October 7.
The organization reminded of the agreements that most countries of the world have ratified concerning the protection of civilians, especially children during wars, including the occupying authority itself.
Among these agreements, it referred to the Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War dated August 12, 1949, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child issued in 1989, along with other regional agreements and the arsenal of international laws that criminalize attacks on children and targeting them in any form.
It noted that all legislations agree on the obligation of the warring parties in any conflict to avoid bombing civilians and the necessity of protecting children.
