If you are wondering where to travel this summer, US News & World Report has released its ranking of the best vacation spots around the world based on analysis of expert and visitor opinions.

US News identified the best places to visit in Canada, with destinations ranging from the cosmopolitan streets of Toronto to the peaks of the Canadian Rockies.

US News also considered factors such as affordability, entertainment, and the variety of hotels and resorts at each destination.

Here are the best places to visit in Canada in 2023, according to the ranking:

Banff:

Banff was ranked as the best place to visit in Canada (and among the best places to visit in the world). It is a mountain town located in the Canadian Rockies and is considered a great place for nature lovers and luxury seekers alike, according to US News.

Banff National Park is also a popular place to enjoy stunning natural beauty, and the area features many wonderful hotels.

Attractions to see include Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and the view from Banff Gondola.

Jasper National Park:

Jasper Park was ranked as the second-best place to visit in Canada.

As the largest park in the Canadian Rockies, Jasper National Park offers breathtaking scenery and natural wonders such as glaciers, mountains, and rivers, as well as wildlife.

In summer, park visitors can paddle around Maligne Lake, while winter offers a chance to try something different, such as snowshoeing near the Athabasca Glacier and skiing in Marmot Basin.

Vancouver:

Vancouver was ranked as the third-best place to visit in Canada.

With mountains and perfect beaches, outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking, Vancouver has plenty of places to visit, while also offering fashion stores, historic sites, and one of the most diverse food scenes in the world.

Stanley Park is one of the must-visit attractions, where visitors can get spectacular views of the mountains and rivers. There is also Lynn Canyon Park, a nature lover’s dream with a suspension bridge, natural pool, and waterfall located in the Lynn Valley.

Other top-ranked sites include Montreal and Quebec City, which took fourth and fifth place respectively. Visitors can feel as if they have traveled to Europe thanks to the cobblestone streets and historic attractions in both cities.

In sixth place on the list is Niagara Falls in Ontario, where visitors can see one of Canada’s most famous natural tourist attractions.
