Google allowed the social media platform "Truth Social" owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump to display its app on its "Play Store".

The "Economic Times" newspaper said that Google allowed "Truth Social" to appear on its store after the platform announced its commitment to Google's policies regarding the removal of inappropriate content such as "incitement to violence".

For its part, Google said it notified "Truth Social" on August 19 that its app violates the Play Store policies, which require effective systems to supervise user-published content.

It is noted that the "Truth Social" app became available for download on electronic app stores late on the evening of February 21, and the app was also automatically downloaded for Apple device users who pre-ordered the app before the expected launch.

This app restored Trump's presence on social media after more than a year of ban by Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube following the attack by his supporters on the U.S. Capitol building on January 6, 2021, after he was accused of posting messages inciting violence.
