Germany warned Iran on Monday against inflaming the conflict between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation after Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with officials from the movement.

German Foreign Ministry spokesman Sebastian Fischer stated that "whoever seeks to play with fire in this situation and pour oil on the fire or ignite it in any other way should think twice before doing so, because we are facing the possibility of a major regional conflict."

Additionally, the Élysée Palace announced yesterday that French President Emmanuel Macron "warned" his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi on Sunday during a phone call about "any escalation or expansion of the conflict" between the Israeli occupation and the Palestinian resistance "especially in Lebanon."

For his part, the Iranian president "warned" in the same call that "if the killing of Gaza's residents does not stop, the scope of the war will widen," according to Mohammad Jamshidi, deputy for political affairs in the Iranian president's office.

Jamshidi stated: "The President confirmed during this call that if the crimes of the Zionist entity, including the killing of people and the siege of Gaza, do not stop, the situation will worsen and the scope of the war will also expand."

France also announced its full support for the Israeli occupation in the attacks it is waging on unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip, considering it a right of Israel (the occupation) to defend itself, following the Al-Aqsa Flood operation launched by the Hamas resistance movement against the occupation.

The number of martyrs due to the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to more than 2,800, while the number of injured has reached about 10,000, according to the latest toll announced by the Palestinian Ministry of Health on Monday, October 16.

More than 1,400 Israelis were killed in the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation launched by Hamas in the occupied territories on October 7, and the movement captured more than 150 Israeli settlers, including dozens of soldiers from the occupying army.
