The Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education announced on Saturday that an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Al-Faluja, located 30 kilometers northeast of Gaza City, resulting in the death of the prominent Palestinian scientist Sufyan Tayeh and his family.
Tayeh, who was the president of the Islamic University in Gaza, was also a prominent researcher in physics and applied mathematics. He was born in Jabalia Camp on August 20, 1971.
