British Columbia is one of the top 23 places to travel in the world in 2023, according to Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
The platform also described the region's "genuine natural beauty," including the Rocky Mountains and Haida Gwaii Islands, as the reasons behind its inclusion in its travel recommendation for the coming year.
Also, according to Condé Nast Traveler, the places were selected by its editors from India, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Spain, taking into account a mix of old favorites worth visiting alongside new and less traveled sites.
Among its choices was Auckland, New Zealand, praised for its outdoor activities, such as the Lantern Festival, which will take place in February, and Pasifika, a massive Pacific Islands festival held in March. It also noted that the city will host the 2023 Women's FIFA World Cup in July.
Also, the Central California Coast was ranked on the list and described as "a mix of quiet seaside towns, redwood forests, and vineyards."
Egypt is listed among the must-visit places in 2023, with the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza as a reason to travel to this corner of the globe. Other reasons include the transformation of the country's new administrative capital, near Cairo, which will include the tallest skyscraper in Africa and a 22-mile replica of the Nile River.
