Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov poured more oil on the fire by calling on Russia to use a low-yield nuclear weapon in its military operation in Ukraine.

Kadyrov, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin in his military operation in Ukraine, said that "Moscow should consider using a low-yield nuclear weapon in Ukraine in light of the recent setbacks it suffered on the battlefield."

Kadyrov added in a message on the Telegram app criticizing Russian leaders for abandoning the town of Lyman in eastern Ukraine on Saturday, "In my personal opinion, stricter measures should be taken, amounting to declaring martial law in the border areas and using low-yield nuclear weapons."

It is worth noting that Russia has the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, including low-yield tactical nuclear weapons equipped for use against enemy armies.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Saturday, the withdrawal of its forces from the strategically important town of Lyman to avoid being encircled by the Ukrainian army, noting that "forces were withdrawn from the settlement of Krasnyi Lyman (the Russian name for Lyman) to more advantageous positions."

Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a military operation in Ukraine, which the West rejects and has imposed various sanctions on Moscow because of it. Yesterday, Friday, Moscow announced the annexation of 4 Ukrainian regions to its borders.
