The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has announced job openings for professionals in information technology to help protect the country using technology and ensure the safety of Canadians both domestically and abroad.
The salary for these positions ranges from $70,042 to $85,215 annually or $79,148 to $96,268 annually. Remote work may be possible for some positions.
Available positions are in the field of cybersecurity for information technology, management and support of IT services, IT end-user systems, network technology and security, IT system management, data management and analytics, communication technology, and mechanical and electrical engineering.
Work hours may extend beyond normal hours.
Applicants are required to have graduated from a two-year program at an accredited post-secondary institution with a major in computer science, information technology, engineering, network security, cybersecurity, or any other relevant field.
You may also qualify for a position if you have an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience. If you have a university degree, you need one year of relevant experience, but if you have a technical diploma or equivalent professional technical certification, you need two years of experience.
CSIS has indicated that job applications cannot be discussed on social media or with anyone, including close family members.
To obtain a position, you must be eligible for a top-secret security clearance, which includes a security interview and a background investigation.
The deadline to apply for IT positions with CSIS is September 30, 2023.
