Passengers of the Canadian airline "Sunwing" will have to pay more for additional luggage. Also, starting from this week, the airline added a new policy "Adjustments to baggage fees," now charging $25 (including taxes) for additional carry-on luggage. Personal items are still included in the airfare. Additionally, Sunwing considers wallets, handbags, messenger bags, briefcases, laptop bags, camera bags, and small backpacks as personal items. In the same context, the airline states that large backpacks and small bags are considered carry-on luggage. Furthermore, and strictly, the company states that carry-on items cannot exceed 11 pounds (5 kg). The airline mentioned that the adjustments to baggage fees aim to "support the continued low-cost company structure." Sunwing is a Canadian low-cost airline based in Toronto, offering scheduled and charter services from Canada and the United States to destinations within the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America during the winter months.
