The British Parliament voted on Wednesday night against a ceasefire decision in the Gaza Strip, while protests were taking place outside the parliament opposing this position.
The draft resolution before the British Parliament called for an immediate "ceasefire in Gaza."
293 members of parliament voted against the resolution, while 125 supported it.
The ruling Conservative Party was the most prominent opponent of the resolution, as well as the leadership of the opposition Labour Party.
Also, before the general vote in parliament, the majority of Labour Party members in the House of Commons opposed the resolution because the party believes that a ceasefire would harm the "right of the Zionist entity to defend itself," and limited itself to calling for "humanitarian truces."
