A bear was spotted near a school in Ontario this morning, and the "shelter in place" protocol was activated, which is a system issued in emergencies where people at risk are asked to stay indoors in safe places until notified otherwise.
This occurred Tuesday morning near Beaverton Public School, about 100 kilometers northeast of Toronto, in the Durham region.
Meanwhile, the Durham District School Board said in a tweet on Twitter that the authorities are aware of what happened.
The board said the school doors will remain closed until the protocol is lifted.
