U.S. President Joe Biden condemned yesterday, Thursday, his predecessor Donald Trump's description of Hezbollah as "very smart," after members of the party exchanged fire with Israeli occupation soldiers across the Lebanese border following the attack launched by Hamas on the occupying entity, according to a spokesperson for him.
Trump accused the Biden administration of funding the Hamas attack as a result of the prisoner exchange deal it executed with Iran, stating in front of his supporters in Florida: "You know, Hezbollah is very smart... they are all very smart."
Biden also said in a post on the platform "X" (formerly Twitter), that "America's support for Israel is crucial and unwavering. This is not the time to praise Iran, which seeks to destroy it."
In turn, Deputy White House Press Secretary Andrew Bates responded to Trump's comments by stating they are "dangerous and insane." The occupation army also responded to Trump's statements, saying, "It is clear that Trump cannot be trusted."
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is in second place behind Trump in polls for the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential elections, commented on his rival's remarks, writing on the platform "X," "It is absurd for anyone, let alone a presidential candidate, to attack Israel, our friend, and praise Hezbollah, calling them 'very smart.'
