Ottawa: Public health calls for wearing masks at festivals and public gatherings outdoors

Masks are no longer mandatory in most public places across Ontario, but Ottawa Public Health reiterates its recommendation to continue using layers of protection, specifically mentioning festivals even though they take place outdoors.


Live music and large crowds remain a welcome scene for many festival-goers in the capital this summer.

But all of this comes at a time when Ottawa Public Health is warning of a new wave of COVID-19.

Ottawa Public Health has resorted to social media to recommend mask use at outdoor public gatherings.
