The Israeli Prison Service announced the start of transferring Palestinian prisoners to Ofer Prison in preparation for their release, according to breaking news reported by "Al-Qahira Al-Ikhbariya" channel.

Hamas also handed over two Israeli detainees to the Red Cross in Palestine Square in the center of Gaza City a short while ago.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army said that the Red Cross informed him of the handover of two Israeli captives, and that they are on their way to Israeli territory.

"Al-Qahira Al-Ikhbariya" reported, quoting sources, the extension of the truce in Gaza under the same previous conditions reached last week, which include the release of 3 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for an Israeli detainee in the sector, and the continued flow of humanitarian aid to the sector.

The sources indicated that the extension of the truce came through Egyptian-Qatari efforts.

Earlier, Hamas announced this morning, Thursday, that an agreement was reached to extend the humanitarian truce for a seventh day, today Thursday, with the announcement coming minutes before the truce was scheduled to end at 7 a.m.
