Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that the army has "fully returned to combat" after Hamas violated the ceasefire agreement with Israel.
He confirmed that he ordered the resumption of strikes on Friday morning after Hamas refused to release 15 women and two children as part of the truce deal.
Galant added during a press conference on Saturday, "We are continuing exactly from where we left off."
He continued, "I toured Gaza in the air and near the border area over the past two days, describing the results of the Israeli Defense Forces' restart attack as 'very impressive.'"
He added, "Thousands of terrorists have been eliminated, dozens of headquarters hit, hundreds of terabytes of information are in our hands, and hundreds of terrorists have been arrested and are being interrogated in Israel."
Galant said, "The achievement of 110 hostages returning alive has not been achieved by any army in the world against a terrorist organization; we achieved this because of the strength of the Israeli Defense Forces."
